Build your company network
A connection is a standing relationship between your club and a company. Once it exists, their jobs reach your members, you get a shared channel with their team, and they can access your club's resume book. This is the part of EpicHire your members feel most directly.
Who can do this
Sending and accepting connection requests needs Manage Company Networking. Every member can see the Company Network channel and the jobs that come out of it - they just can't change who's in it.
On the iOS app
1. Open Company Network
Open your club and tap Company Network. A badge here means a company is waiting on you.
2. Find a company and connect
Connect lists companies you can reach out to, with a Connect button on each. Above them, Connection Requests Remaining tells you how many you have left this week.
3. Answer requests and chat
Your Network puts Inbound Requests above your existing Connections. Tap Accept to connect, or Chat to message a company you're already working with.
On a web browser
The web version splits into four tabs - Connect, Connection Requests, Our Network and Invites.
1. Browse and request
At app.epichire.com, open your club and click Company Network. On Connect, search or filter by category, then click Connect on a company. The Leadership Dashboard on the right shows your Weekly Connections Remaining - check it before you spend one on a long shot.
2. Accept incoming requests
Connection Requests holds companies looking to connect with your club. Click Accept and the connection and its shared channel exist immediately. Accepting doesn't use up your weekly allowance - that only limits requests you start.
3. Work the relationship
Our Network is everyone you're connected to. Jobs shows what they're hiring for and Contact Us opens a conversation. The menu on each row adds a Networking Message, Notes for your own officers, or Remove Connection.
Your weekly connection limit
Clubs can only start a certain number of new connections each week, and that number is set by your club's level. It resets weekly, and both apps show what you have left before you spend it.

Two ways around it
Accepting a request a company sent you doesn't count, and neither does inviting a company that isn't on EpicHire yet - they connect to you automatically when they set up. Beyond that, the limit rises with your club level, and points come overwhelmingly from ordinary member activity. If you want more employer reach, getting your existing members to finish their profiles is usually faster than waiting for next week.
What a connected company gets
- Your club's resume book
- Connected companies can download the resumes your members have uploaded. This is why getting members to upload a resume is the highest-leverage thing you can ask of your club.
- A shared channel
- A corporate channel your members and their team both sit in. Members should know recruiters can read it.
- The ability to send forms
- Interest forms, resume drops and event sign-ups land in your club's Jobs & Opps. Each submission is worth 17 points to your club.
- Notes stay on your side
- Notes on a connection are for your own officers - who the contact is, what you agreed, when to follow up. Useful precisely because exec boards turn over every year.
- You can disconnect
- Remove Connection ends it from your side. Removing one takes back the 200 points it earned.
