Find jobs, opportunities and forms
Every club has a Jobs & Opps channel. It holds two different things: jobs, and forms. The second tab is called Opportunities on iOS and Company Forms on the web. Jobs come from the employers your club is connected with, from your officers, and from your national organization. Forms are short questionnaires a connected company has sent your club specifically.
This is not the same as the main Jobs tab
Jobs in the top navigation is the whole EpicHire job board. Jobs & Opps inside a club is the much smaller, much more relevant set your club has access to because of who it knows. Start here.
On the iOS app
1. Open Jobs & Opps
Open your club and tap Jobs & Opps in the channel list.
2. Browse the jobs
The Jobs tab lists everything shared with your club. Tap a job to read the full description, see the company, and find the apply link.
3. Apply
Tap View Application to apply. Anything an officer posted to your club board takes you out to the company's own careers site - your club doesn't collect those applications.
4. Fill in company forms
The Opportunities tab holds forms sent to your club by connected employers - interest forms, resume drops, event sign-ups. A badge on the channel tells you how many you haven't answered.
On a web browser
1. Open Jobs & Opps
At app.epichire.com, open your club and click Jobs & Opps in the sidebar.
2. Browse and open a job
Jobs list on the left with the full description on the right. Click through to apply.
3. Answer any outstanding forms
Switch to Company Forms to see what connected companies have sent your club, and fill them in.
Where these jobs come from
- Employers connected to your club
- When your club connects with a company, that company's openings become visible here. This is the main reason a club bothers building a company network.
- Your own officers
- Officers can post a job they found elsewhere - a listing they saw online, or a company an alum works at - straight onto the club board. See Post jobs to your club job board.
- Your national organization
- If your club is a chapter of a larger organization, jobs posted at the national level can be shared down to every chapter, so they show up here too.
- Answering forms helps your club
- Submitting a company form is worth 17 club points. Companies also see the response rate, and a club that answers is a club they come back to.
