Set up your profile and resume
This is the first thing to do after joining a club, and it takes about two minutes. When your club connects with an employer, that employer can download the club's resume book. A profile with no resume in it isn't in that download.
It also scores your club
A profile photo is worth 5 club points and a resume is worth 10. Club points decide how many employers your officers can approach each week - see Getting started with your club. Doing this is the single cheapest thing a member can do for their club.
On the iOS app
1. Open your profile
Tap your avatar to open your own profile, then tap Edit Profile.
2. Add a photo
Tap your profile picture and pick an image. A real photo of your face does more for you here than a logo or a group shot - recruiters are scanning faces alongside resumes.
3. Fill in your school, major and graduation year
Employers filter by these. If your major and grad year are blank, you get filtered out of searches you would otherwise match.
4. Upload your resume
Tap Add Your Resume and pick your PDF. You can replace it any time - upload a new one and it takes the place of the old.
5. Check how it reads
Your resume appears on your profile where you - and connected employers - can open it. Tap it to make sure the right file uploaded.
On a web browser
1. Open your profile
At app.epichire.com, click your avatar and open your profile, then click Edit Profile.
2. Add your photo and details
Set a profile photo, then fill in your school, major and graduation year. Save when you're done.
3. Drop in your resume
Click Add Your Resume - or drag your PDF straight onto the page. It uploads and attaches to your profile immediately.
Who can see your resume
- Your club's officers
- Officers can see the resumes attached to their club's members, so they know how much of the club is ready to be put in front of an employer.
- Employers connected to your club
- Once your club and a company are connected, that company can download a resume book covering the club's members. This is the point of uploading it.
- Not the open internet
- Your resume is not on your public club page and is not indexed by search engines. It travels with your club's employer connections.
- Replacing or removing it
- Upload a new resume at any time to replace the current one. If you remove your resume, your club loses the 10 points it earned.
